What kind of content is most likely to be cited by AI?
AI prefers content that is clear, specific, current, and supported by evidence. Direct answers, original research, expert insights, useful comparisons, and credible third-party mentions improve citation potential. Publishing more content alone will not solve the problem. In practice a citable passage has a recognizable shape: the question as a heading, the answer in the first sentence under it, and a paragraph of roughly 120 to 160 words that makes sense on its own when lifted out of the page. A date in the markup and a named organization behind the page help a model decide the passage is current and attributable. The most common failure is structural, not quality: the answer sits in paragraph three, after two paragraphs on why the question matters, and the model never reaches it. Every answer on this FAQ is written to the shape above.
